CHARLOTTE, NC (August 10, 2018) – Aurora Management Partners, headquartered in Charlotte, is pleased to announce that Alexander J. Boerema has been recognized by the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) as a 2018 Individual Award winner. Boerema was awarded the 2018 Emerging Leader Award, which recognizes leaders within the turnaround and restructuring field who have displayed exceptional dedication and energy towards the industry and TMA.
Boerema and three other Individual Award winners will be honored during a ceremony at TMA’s 30th Annual Conference at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO, on September 26-28, 2018.
Since 2014, Boerema has been actively involved in the TMA Chicago/Midwest Chapter. He has held several leadership positions and currently serves as Treasurer for the TMA Chicago/Midwest Chapter and Chair for TMA Global NextGen. Boerema has played a vital role in growing the TMA Global NextGen Leadership Conference. Most recently, he presented a report on attendance analysis research before the TMA Board of Trustees with the goal of his research becoming an analytical tool that other chapters can use in making data-driven decisions for future growth of programs and membership engagement.
Boerema joined Aurora Management Partners in 2018 where he currently serves as Director of the firm’s Chicago office. He has over 10 years of turnaround and restructuring experience with financially distressed and under-performing mid- to large-market companies.
