Aurora Adds John Magee, Director to Charlotte Office
Charlotte, NC (June 26th, 2019): Aurora Management Partners is pleased to announce John Magee, a certified turnaround professional, has joined Aurora as a Director in the firm’s Charlotte office. John Magee brings to Aurora significant experience in the turnaround consulting and restructuring industry.
John Magee advises clients on business, organizational, and financial strategy, corporate governance, as well profit improvement programs. A significant portion of his work involves interim management and advisory work in turnaround, workout, and crisis situations. In addition to providing consulting services, John has served as a court appointed receiver, expert witness, chief restructuring officer, chief operating officer, and chief executive officer.

John has experience in both the manufacturing and service sectors, including building materials, chemicals, contracting, consumer products, entertainment, professional sports, textiles, machinery & equipment, electronics, trucking, professional services, financial services, environmental services, non-profits, utilities, meat processing, health care, retail, restaurants, real estate, and hotels.
Prior to joining Aurora, John was a partner at ABTV, a Charlotte based turnaround firm. Before that, he served as President of Norelli & Company, a middle market strategy and management consulting firm in Charlotte. John also worked in the banking industry where he held positions in commercial banking, private banking, and portfolio administration.
John is Past President of the Carolinas Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and a former member of the Board for TMA International. He is also a member of the Commercial Finance Association, the Risk Management Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Association for Corporate Growth.
He received his BA degree from Washington and Lee University and his MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business Administration. He earned the CTP designation from the Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals.
