Charlotte, NC– On July 20th, 2020 the District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina appointed Aurora Management Partners as Federal Receiver for Independence Lumber, Inc. (case 1:20cv637).
The Parties stipulated and agreed to the appointment of Aurora Management Partners as Federal Receiver for Independence Lumber. The Aurora team overseeing the Independence Lumber business includes David Baker, Laura Kendall, and Blake Tillis. Aurora is actively managing all aspects of the business operations.
Independence Lumber harvests, manufactures, and distributes hardwood and pine lumber products with saw mill locations in Independence, Virginia and Elkin, North Carolina. Established in 1984, Independence Lumber specializes in servicing the flooring, cabinet, furniture, and wholesale trade both domestically and globally.
David Baker is a member of the National Association of Federal Equity Receivers (NAFER). Aurora, under the guidance of David Baker, is currently serving as Federal Receiver for Timber Creek Holdings which includes Timber Creek Holdings LLC, Harley Triumph LLC, Timber Creek Services LLC, Timber Creek Operating LLC, and Timber Creek Energy LLC (case 1:2019cv02377) as well as for Roberts Auto Center, LLC which includes Roberts Auto Center LLC, Roberts Ford Lincoln LLC, BAMO Land LLC, RWR Rentals LLC, and Level VI Properties LLC (case 4:19-cv-00634-JED-JFJ). Baker has previously been appointed as Federal Receiver for Pyote Water Systems in 2016 which included Pyote Water Solutions, LLC, Pyote Water Solutions Opco LLC, Pyote Brine LLC, Pyote SWD LLC, Pyote SWD II LLC and CLSV Disposal II LLC (the “Pyote Entities”), as well as Knight Industries I LLC in 2009 which included Knight-Celotex LLC, Knight Quartz Flooring LLC, and Knight Industries Premium Flooring LLC.
