How did you get involved within this Industry? It basically fell into my lap! In graduate school my primary focus was to pursue a career in management consulting. While in school, an opportunity in restructuring arose when a prospective recruiter opined that I’d be a great fit for a specific turnaround role. Since then, I’ve developed an appreciation for the industry as it’s a great marriage between challenging, technical work with a need for strong interpersonal skills.

For Someone starting out in the industry, what advice would you give? You don’t know what you don’t know. This industry doesn’t have a robust know-how guide, so in order to learn or be successful, one must be both an active listener and very inquisitive.

What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work? Outside of the office, you can find me spending my summers on the lake in Culver, Indiana alongside family and friends. Outside of summer, I enjoy planning elaborate itineraries for travel abroad (e.g. visited both Vietnam and Thailand in Spring 2023), attending concerts, and trying new cooking recipes.

What has your experience with Aurora been like since joining? The moment I joined Aurora, I was thrown right into the work. I have been given opportunities on projects to push myself and to learn through challenging tasks. It has been the most rewarding team I have been a part of.

What do you like most about Aurora? The team is what I like the most and why I decided to come aboard. I was looking for a place that would give me opportunities to grow and to push me past my comfort zone to become a better consultant in this industry. Everyone on this team supports on another and will always be willing to help one another.

How did you get involved within this Industry? I knew I wanted to go into this industry during college. I was given the opportunity to have an internship summer of 2020 where I got to dip my toes into what it is like to work with distressed companies. From that moment, I have never seen myself doing any other work.

What have been some of your more important or gratifying engagements? Most of the engagements I have worked on thus far in my career all feel gratifying. I have learned a lot and still have much more learning to do.

For Someone starting out in the industry, what advice would you give? Do not be afraid to ask questions. When you are starting off in this industry, you might not know as much as you think. The people who have been in this industry are still asking questions and growing their knowledge on different topics.

What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work? Outside of work you can find me hanging with my friends and family, golfing, playing pickleball, or trying new restaurants.
