Aurora Completes Sale of AgTech Scientific Group Facilities under Receivership

Charlotte, NC:  Aurora is pleased to announce the successful sale of the AgTech Scientific Group facilities. Aurora was appointed Federal Receiver on August 12, 2021 in the Eastern District Court of Kentucky for AgTech Scientific Group, LLC et al (case 5:21-cv-00190). The team at Aurora worked with A&G Realty Partners, LLC during the sale process for the properties. The facilities, located in Paris, Kentucky, sold for $37.5 million and included greenhouse facilities totaling 1.5 million square feet and a 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility.

The Aurora team overseeing the AgTech business includes David Baker, Managing Partner, a member of the National Association of Federal Equity Receivers (NAFER), Laura Kendall, Senior Managing Director, John Magee, Director, and Blake Tillis, Senior Consultant. Gary H. Leibowitz and Irving Walker of Cole Schotz, P.C. are serving as counsel for the Receiver. The assets were previously used by AgTech Scientific for hemp agricultural production.
