August 8, 2024Aurora’s David Baker Testifies As Expert Witness In Eddystone Rail V. Bridger Logistics Trial
June 18th, 2024: Aurora Management Partner’s Managing Partner, David Baker, was retained by the Plaintiff in the Eddystone Rail Company, LLC v. Bridger Logistics, LLC case in the United States District Court for the Easter District of Pennsylvania (Case #2:17-cv-00495-JDW) to review testimony and evidence produced, and render an opinion regarding the fiduciary duties the Defendants owed their creditors, and whether the Defendant breached those duties. Mr. Baker produced an expert rebuttal report, was deposed, and testified at trial in the case. On June 7th, 2024 the U.S. District Court entered a memorandum and order awarding a $169 million judgement in favor of the Plaintiff relying, in part, on Mr. Baker’s testimony.
Mr. Baker’s extensive knowledge and years in the restructuring industry serving clients in a variety of industries, including the energy industry, qualified Mr. Baker as an expert to serve in this capacity for this trial. Also on the engagement team with Mr. Baker were Aurora personnel William McCarthy, Senior Managing Director, and Greg Baker, Director.
